Meet the Ufi Cymru team

Ufi Cymru’s recent staff restructure has brought a number of new faces and positions to the team in Wales. Jeff Greenidge now directs operations in Wales and Northern Ireland, and Phillip Lloyd takes on the new role of National Operations Manager for Wales with responsibility for business performance and business relationships in Wales. Mr Lloyd said: “I will be responsible for directing business performance and developing the capacity of the learndirect network to support more learners on more courses.”

Angela Fomison will be working to raise the profile of learndirect within the policy arena in her new role as
Policy Manager. She said "I will be working with our partners to firm up the links between Welsh Assembly
Government policy and Ufi policy and ensuring learndirect is a key
contributor to the e-learning strategy for Wales.”

New team member Emma Harvey has moved to Wales from Ufi’s Head Office in Sheffield. Having worked
previously within the workforce development team, Emma will now
be working closely with learndirect

delivery partners in Wales as a Network Business Trainer. She said, “I am responsible for capacity building, training and supporting the Welsh partnerships to provide a high quality service to learners.”

Jon Jones will support learndirect partners in Wales in his new role as Network Business Adviser. He will focus on monitoring performance against business plan targets. He
said: “In monitoring the performance of partners, I will be looking at the usage of the licence and the tutor
pool and providing management data to support effective delivery.”

Louise Jones will continue in her role as Marketing and Public Relations Co-ordinator, planning National
campaigns for learndirect in Wales and supporting delivery partners in tailoring localised campaigns.

Owain Jenkins has joined the team as Office Administrator. Owain
worked previously as a translator for a local council and will be offering his expertise in this area. He said: “I am looking forward to organising network events, and overseeing the
day to day running of the office.”
