Ufi Cymru’s recent staff
restructure has brought
a number of new faces
and positions to the team
in Wales. Jeff Greenidge
now directs operations
in Wales and Northern
Ireland, and Phillip Lloyd
takes on the new role
of National Operations Manager for Wales with
responsibility for business
performance and
business relationships
in Wales. Mr Lloyd said: “I will be responsible for directing business
performance and
developing the capacity of
the learndirect network
to support more learners
on more courses.”

Angela Fomison will be working to
raise the profile of learndirect within
the policy arena in her new role as
Policy Manager. She said "I will be
working with our partners to firm up
the links between Welsh Assembly
Government policy and Ufi policy
and ensuring learndirect is a key
contributor to the e-learning strategy
for Wales.”
New team member Emma Harvey
has moved to Wales from Ufi’s Head
Office in Sheffield. Having worked
previously within the workforce
development team, Emma will now
be working closely with learndirect
delivery partners in Wales as a
Network Business Trainer. She
said, “I am responsible for capacity
building, training and supporting the
Welsh partnerships to provide a high
quality service to learners.”
Jon Jones will support learndirect partners in Wales in his new role as
Network Business Adviser. He will
focus on monitoring performance
against business plan targets. He
said: “In monitoring the performance
of partners, I will be looking at the
usage of the licence and the tutor
pool and providing management
data to support effective delivery.”
Louise Jones will continue in her role
as Marketing and Public Relations
Co-ordinator, planning National
campaigns for learndirect in Wales
and supporting delivery partners in
tailoring localised campaigns.
Owain Jenkins has joined the team
as Office Administrator. Owain
worked previously as a translator for
a local council and will be offering
his expertise in this area. He said: “I am looking forward to organising
network events, and overseeing the
day to day running of the office.”
