learndirect scooped silver in the Excellence in the Production of Learning Content (Public Sector) category at the E-Learning Awards ceremony in London last night.
The award was given to learndirect for the work with Atticmedia in the creation of Legula Adventure, an online game to encourage parents to learn with their children.
The game provides an engaging way to get the family learning, in which players have to work together to complete maths and English puzzles whilst navigating their way around a fictional island.
The game has been well received for its innovative, interactive approach that appeals to both adults and children alike.
More than 6,500 games have been played since its launch and it has received positive reviews by Ofcom, The Guardian and Custom PC Magazine.
